Volunteer

Currently we need volunteers to assist us with public events to get the word out about the importance of having a TNR friendly ordinance in place in the City of Sioux Falls. If you are comfortable speaking with the public and are passionate about helping community cats (and all cats!) then please fill out the volunteer application form below and we will contact you to discuss further. We also are open to working with volunteers who have previous TNR experience!

Are you 18 or older?

Are you comfortable speaking with the public on issues related to TNR and cat welfare?

Are you comfortable standing for long periods of time? (Most of our pubic events last between 2 to 4 hours, though a few can be longer - we do try to make sure we all get breaks but you may be standing speaking to people for awhile)

Are you able to lift at least 40-50 lbs? (Setting up for events does involve some lifting and carrying such as our tent, tables, kittens in carriers and other booth display materials)

Have you been convicted of any crimes in the past (misdemeanor or felony)?

What is your level of knowledge regarding TNR and cat welfare in the Sioux Empire (previous knowledge isn't required but definitely helpful!)

List any other animal-related volunteering you have done previously and a brief description of responsibilities.

Do you have experience handling kittens and cats?

What is your availability during the week to help with events (most events are weekday evenings and weekend days)
