Laundry

Overview

Assists with washing and drying blankets, towels, and other fabric items used throughout the rescue operation.

Responsibilities

~ Collect soiled laundry
~ Wash and dry items using appropriate detergents and settings
~ Fold and organize clean laundry for distribution
~ Monitor condition of items and remove worn-out pieces

Time Commitment

1-2 hours per week, flexible scheduling

Skills

~ Access to washer, dryer, and adequate space for sorting/folding
~ Knowledge of proper laundry techniques for heavily soiled items
~ Reliable transportation for pickup and delivery
~ Organizational skills for managing large volumes
~ Tolerance for strong odors and heavily soiled items
~ Ability to work independently on flexible schedule
