Junior Volunteer

Overview

Provides age-appropriate volunteer opportunities for young people (typically ages 12-17) under adult supervision.

Responsibilities

– Assist with cat socialization and gentle play activities
– Support setup and cleanup at adoption events
– Help with fundraising activities appropriate for their age
– Share rescue mission with peers and family members
– Assist adult volunteers with various tasks as appropriate

Time Commitment

2-4 hours per week, school schedule permitting

Skills

– Ages 12-17 with parent/guardian permission
– Demonstrated responsibility and maturity
– Genuine interest in animal welfare
– Ability to follow directions and safety protocols
– Comfortable around cats and willing to learn proper handling
– Reliable transportation provided by parent/guardian
– Commitment to volunteer schedule and responsibilities
