Outreach & Community Relations Volunteer

Overview

Represents the organization at community outreach events, building relationships and promoting services.

Responsibilities

~ Identify and contact potential community partners
~ Attend community meetings and networking events
~ Develop relationships with local businesses and organizations
~ Coordinate cross-promotional opportunities with other nonprofits
~ Represent organization at community advisory boards
~ Build relationships with local government officials
~ Coordinate educational presentations for schools and groups
~ Follow up on partnership opportunities and collaborations
~ Set up informational displays and materials
~ Engage with community members about rescue, alter assist and TNR services
~ Distribute educational materials about cat care and TNR
~ Promote upcoming events and fundraising activities and volunteering
~ Take photos for social media and documentation
~ Follow up with contacts made at events

Time Commitment

Flexible; 3-4 hours per event, monthly or seasonal

~ Comfortable speaking with diverse community groups
~ Professional appearance and demeanor
~ Patience with repetitive questions and conversations

~ Reliable transportation to various community locations
