Well last week was a momentous week for the Sioux Empire TNR Coalition! After months of prep we finally went before the Sioux Falls City Council during the “public input” period to present our case for adding TNR-friendly language to the city animal welfare ordinance. Board President Mat Tougas, Vice President Heather Swanson and Board member Brian Gochal all provided three minutes of testimony. Our goal is to have two council persons sponsor the ordinance amendment with our proposed language, which will put it on the “regular agenda” for voting.
