Trapping & Rescue Coordinator

Overview

Oversees the overall TNR and rescue operations, coordinates with other organizations, and manages the intake and placement of cats and kittens.

Responsibilities

~ Coordinate with animal control, shelters, and other rescues for cat intake
~ Assess incoming cats for medical needs, temperament, and placement options
~ Maintain relationships with veterinary partners and other rescue organizations
~ Oversee trap-neuter-return (TNR) program operations
– – – Monitor trap request list
– – – Reach out to trap requests
– – – Coordinate trapping teams
– – – Verify caregiver status
– – – Ensure cats are on vet log
– – – Ensure equipment is returned and logged in Asset Tiger
~ Ensure compliance with local animal welfare regulations
~ Make decisions about resource allocation and rescue priorities
~ Coordinate emergency rescues and medical cases
~ Maintain records of all rescued animals
~ Report to board of directors on rescue operations

Time Commitment

15-20 hours per week

Skills

~ Extensive experience with cat behavior and welfare
~ Strong decision-making and leadership abilities
~ Knowledge of local animal welfare laws and regulations
~ Experience with TNR programs preferred
~ Ability to work under pressure and make difficult decisions
~ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
